Reconstruction of fish processing factory buildings at Roņu Street 6, Liepāja
The fish factory at the end of Roņu Street near the port of Liepāja has survived different times, different owners, and it has also prospered economically in quite different ways. The proposed rebuild in this project appears to be the most extensive in the plant's history.
Both existing buildings adapted to new production lines as a result of reconstruction are used, as well as new building extensions, which significantly expand the area of buildings and production possibilities. The existing buildings were recently insulated and their facades covered with green and sand colored tin sheets. The client's desire was to preserve the finishing of the facades, therefore the new extensions are also subordinated to the existing, admittedly not very successful combination of colors and facade design.
