A Mansion at Rundale County

The house is located in a scenery place on a coast of the river Lielupe. The location of the site is on top of approximately 20m high hillside. The landscape, what commands from the site, is inspiring – not so usual spaciousness for Latvia.

The whole solution of the design is subordinated to the landscape – a house on a slope with the terrace on the cantilever, wide window openings with a view to the river from all of most important premises, lightness in architecture and finishes, where the walls are faced with light color stone, but for windows is chosen the sky blue reflective glass.
